East Africa

Infoboxanker

East Africa is one of the regions of Africa which has developed positively over the past few years and which has come well out of the financial turmoil. Compared to Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda, Kenya is the country with the strongest economy and has also made the most progress in terms of privatization. Besides the traditionally important agricultural sector, tourism has gained importance as a new industry. Even if the need for reform continues to be considerable in the region, East Africa offers investors some potential, especially with regard to telecommunications or energy supply by renewable energy, or also in agribusiness and the food industry.
