Bruno Wenn, CEO of DEG was appointed the new chairman of the board of directors of EDFI
On May 23, 2013, Bruno Wenn, CEO of DEG was appointed the new chairman of EDFI, the Association of European Development Finance Institutions with head office in Brussels. EDFI is a group of 15 bilateral institutions.
The members of EDFI, the Association of European Development Finance Institutions provide long term finance for private sector enterprises in developing and reforming economies. At the end of 2012, the total investment portfolio of EDFI members was €26 billion, in 4705 projects.
EDFI's key missions during the next years will be to strengthen the cooperation and links among the bilateral European development finance institutions, to foster the cooperation with the European Union and to increase EDFI's visibility in its role as an important European player when it comes to the promotion of private sector development in developing countries.
