On 1 September 2022, the DEG subsidiary DEG Impulse gGmbH started its business operations. With currently 50 employees, it offers solutions that help companies to address business challenges and to create developmental impact.

With the Business Support Services (BSS), develoPPP Classic and develoPPP Ventures programmes, as well as through services provided by the Agency for Business & Economic Development (AWE) and the Helpdesk on Business & Human Rights, it provides companies with advisory and funding solutions for their investments in developing and emerging countries. DEG Impulse enables companies to implement these investments efficiently and effectively, thereby promoting social and ecological transition in the private sector while supporting development policy goals as defined by the Sustainable Development Goals.

It is planned to expand these advisory and funding activities through additional programmes in the future.
