As one of the core states of the ASEAN international community and as a gateway to the neighbouring countries of Indochina, Thailand is an interesting location for foreign investors.
The DEG representative office in Bangkok covers Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. In this region DEG has provided more than 550 million euros for more than 160 projects so far. The current portfolio comes up to over 190 million euros.

Foreign investors in particular can benefit from office´s well-established network; the office works with such institutions as the German Chambers of Commerce in the corresponding region and investment authorities.
